Skincare/Make Up Routine

In the midst of exams now but I was thinking of doing a little post on my skincare regime, which is... close to nothing compared to a lot of others'. After all, you shouldn't overdo it on younger skin types, right?

First Step: Moisturizing Toner
I have to use a moisturizing toner as I have really dry skin and the dry/cold air-con in school just kicks it up a notch with the flakiness. I use this instead of a normal toner to prep my skin for moisturizer! It's a really good drugstore product (imo), even though it's for older skin.. I've been using it for a while and so far so good. But I heard it's not really good for young skin to use such mature products, maybe because it wouldn't work on your skin in the future... so I'd probably switch to another range of Loreal's toners after I finish this bottle. =)

Second Step: Moisturizer
The one that I'm currently using isn't the water-based one actually, it's the Hydrating Milk.. but it looks pretty similar. It's a lot more hydrating as compared to the hydrating lotion (I feel) as the lotion is just meant to be a moisturizing toner which is similar to the Loreal one that I'm currently using. Just that the one that I've got is a fraction of Hada Labo's. Really love this though! Keeps your skin super hydrated throughout the entire day; even brought it to countries with cooler climates and it still works like magic on my skin!

Third Step: Foundation
I'm not a fan of foundation because I don't use it often and I don't find the point in getting such an expensive one... but when I got this from Sephora a few months ago after recommendations from Elvira, I couldn't stop raving about it. I felt a little heartache when I first got the product because of the hefty price but the formula is really hydrating (doesn't flake), goes on very smoothly, has light-medium coverage which I love and everything else that I didn't find in a foundation so far. Really changed my opinions about liquid foundations after I got this, acts just like a BB cream for me!

I can never seem to use any BB creams that I have purchased simply because my skin is too dark and I'd look ghastly with the BB cream on.. #firstworldproblems

Fourth Step: Eyebrows
Favourite drugstore eyebrow pencil so far! Lost my Springheart one in school while I was rushing for one of my presentations so I got this as a replacement and boy, am I glad! This formula is a lot creamier and glides on a lot more smoothly onto my skin. The colour is so much more natural too!

Fifth Step: Eyeliner

Eyeliner is a must-must-must for me. If I were to be stranded on an island and I'd had to have one product with me; it would be my eyeliner without a doubt. Firstly, I line my upper and lower waterline with the Revlon Grow Luscious Pencil Eyeliner. Then, I use my K-Palette liquid eyeliner to line my upper lashline, winging it at the ends. Stays all day! Mega love these 2 products; especially the pencil eyeliner. Glides on so smoothly... only downside to it is that it doesn't retail in Singapore. Well... only the Singapore Changi Airport's DFS sells it...

Last Step: Mascara
Maybelline Falsies! The highly raved mascara which lives up to it's name. I've raved about Lancome's Hypnose Drama but this mascara works the same as that one does for a fraction of it's price! Plus, it's a lot easier to remove as compared to the Hypnose Drama. =)
