Beauty Review (Eyeliners)

I'm an eyeliner maniac. Period. These are just some of the eyeliners that I can remember using, if you've got any questions on other eyeliners, you can drop me a question on my Formspring and I'll try my best to answer! :)

Maybelline's Unstoppable Automatic Eyeliner 

It's an eyeliner easily available in drugstores and one of the first few that I've started with. It isn't very smooth on the eyes and can be a pain to use sometimes when you have to tug it across your eyelid and yet there'll still be empty spaces in between caused by the tugging. But if you want to only use it on your waterline, it isn't too bad.

Rating: 5/10. 

Maybelline's Gel Eyeliner 

This is the only gel eyeliner that I've tried and before I bought it, the reviews that I saw on magazines and on websites were pretty awesome. It didn't disappoint me at all. It was smooth on the lids and was very easy to apply. The only downside to this eyeliner is that it doesn't resist oil very well and is prone to smudge on the outer corners of your eyes.

Maybelline's Impact Express Pen-Liquid Eyeliner

The only plus side to this eyeliner is that it is very easy to apply. Other than that, I would highly recommend you not to get this eyeliner. The colour is light, it is extremely prone to smudging and is extremely non-waterproof. In overall, this is the shittiest eyeliner I have ever used. Based on personal experience, it is the kind of eyeliner that runs down your face when you get drenched in the rain. You do not want to get this.

Chanel's Automatic Eyeliner 

Been using the one in Khol for a while now and it's treating me pretty well. It can be a little tough to use when my lids feel really dry but for now it's pretty okay, except that it smudges quite a bit on my lower lids after a whole day. It's extremely waterproof and long-lasting though it's not as smudge-resistant when it comes to oily lids.

Revlon's Automatic Eye-Pencil 

I've tried the one in Black and it wasn't too bad, felt like any other ordinary automatic eye pencil that I've got. Plus point is that it doesn't smudge too much.

Revlon's Pencil Eyeliner in Brown

One of my favourite drugstore pencil eyeliners! But it's very hard to find in Singapore and I only found it in Changi Airport (Terminal 3)'s Duty-Free store. Doesn't smudge too much and is quite waterproof, extremely easy to apply on as well! Really really creamy texture, ain't too bad for SGD9 bucks!

Rimmel's Automatic Eyeliner

Smooth on the eyes, texture is quite creamy and doesn't require you to tug on your lids. One of my favourite drugstore eyeliners before I was given the Chanel one. Colour is really dark as well (I used the one in Khol) and is very useful for a smokey-eyed look with the smudging brush located at the back of the brush! Reasonably smudge-proof and water-proof :)

Majourlica Majorca's Pencil Eyeliner 

Texture is pretty creamy, it isn't too bad but it's a tad too short for my liking and the colours are pretty bright. I got the one in Brown (without glitter) but the colour looks closer to a plummish shade :( Overall it isn't too bad but I wouldn't really want to buy it again.. unless I'm looking for a plum eyeliner shade!

The Face Shop's Automatic and Pencil Eyeliner 

When I was in Secondary 2, I started out with the glittery black pencil eyeliner and it was quite good. Texture is really creamy and the colour is very vibrant. Plus, it lasts for the entire day and is extremely easy to apply! But as for the automatic pencil, it was nothing but horrible. It kept tugging on my lids somehow and it only felt normal on the first try when I used it.

K-Palette 24 Hour Liquid Eyeliner 

Heroine Make's Liquid Eyeliner

The reviews for these two liquid eyeliners are similar as they are just-as-awesome! I love how easy it is for me to apply (since I'm in love with liquid eyeliners now). They are less messy, doesn't smudge as much as pencil eyeliners and last me the whole day. Almost. For the 24 hour tattoo eyeliner (K-Palette's), there always seem to be gaps after a long day, probably due to my oily lids when I run around.. but an easy problem to be solved if I line it with a pencil then go over with my liquid eyeliners! I don't have this problem with the Heroine Make eyeliner yet though. Both blacks are very intense and are great for drawing cat-eyed looks as the tips are very precise.

I've also tried K-Palette's automatic eyeliners and they didn't disappoint me, creamy and very easy to apply!

I guess the next pencil eyeliner I would really want to try is from of course, the extremely popular, Urban Decay. Well, what works for me might not work for you so it's up to you whether you want to get the eyeliners based on my personal experience! But i really, really, highly recommend Heroine Make/K-Palette if you love liquid eyeliners or you're going to convert from a Pencil -> Liquid eyeliner. I'd love to try Dollywink after my current Heroine Make tube finishes :)
